Packed with thrilling scenes, The Commuter is the to-watch action movie. But the storyline is only mediocre and it is best not to hold high hopes.

The Commuter illustrates a simple request — which turns out to be more than meets the eye — to find the one person who does not belong on the train. Solving this puzzle will give retrenched Michael, played by Liam Neeson, an enticing reward of $100,000. But little did he realise taking on this offer will put the lives of his family and the passengers on board the train at stake.

The Good
Suffice to say, the action is more than enough reason to watch this film. Apart from landing punches, there are intense actions like rolling across the train track with a moving train that will keep you on the edge of your seats. Not to mention it is a fight against time, with the aim to locate the target before the train reaches the last stop.

The Bad
While the plot is interesting, the revelation is not much of a surprise as quite a number of scenes make a certain character look suspicious. Trying to find that one person is also solely based on Michael’s experience as a regular commuter. It was pretty much a trial-and-error kind of approach — and guess what, obviously the mysterious passenger was the last.

And The Summary
Packed with thrilling scenes, The Commuter is the to-watch action movie. But the storyline is only mediocre and it is best not to hold high hopes.
