Synopsis
Based on a real-life story, Seventy-Seven Days depicts a story of Self Discovery, Courage and Faith.
The story sees Yang, a lost soul desperately seeking purpose in his life, who decides to embark on a solo journey of self-discovery into the uninhibited and perilous Qiang Tang in the north of Tibet armed with only a bicycle and limited ration.
As various obstacles and misadventures start to waver his determination, Yang meets the tenacious and brave Lan Tian, a former acclaimed photographer who is now wheelchair ridden from a photography accident at Mount Kailash (Tibet).
Inspired by Lan Tian’s optimism, Yang regains the courage and strength to carry on his voyage by foot and bicycle through the majestic snow-capped mountains, magical salt lakes and the vast desert plains of enormous Qiang Tang, attempting to be the first person in history to successfully cross the uninhabited zone based on a horizontal path from West to East.
