This is a story about finding Xiao Mei. Xiao Mei is missing. The interviews and
memories of nine individuals who all had connections with her gradually piece
together the puzzles of her life. None of them knows where Xiao Mei has gone,
but all they want is for her to be all right, so everything will be all right.

小美不见了。一个男子带着摄影机，走访小美身边的人们，试图借由众人的回忆、描述与评论，拼凑有关小美的一切线索。我们遇见了她的房东、她的哥哥、她的男友与母亲，还有打工的服饰店老板，在众人的只字片语之间听到了她的喜怒无常，还有她对药物的依赖与抗拒，小美的轮廓慢慢浮现。 钟孟宏在监制《大佛普拉斯》之后再次提携后起新秀。导演黄荣升以伪纪录片的形式诠释此一带有悬疑意味的故事，一段段访谈不但慢慢勾勒出小美的样貌，也呈现出丰富层次的人性观察。身份背景各异的受访者们是当代台湾的浮生速写，透过场面调度在画面中交织访问与回忆，手法令人玩味。
