Earth Hour 2011 Hits the Heartlands

By InCinemas  /  24 Mar 2011 (Thursday)
Golden Village Yishun supports the Earth Hour with special activities this 26th March. In its bid to raise even greater awareness of its pro-environment causes, Golden Village is pledging its participation in this year's Earth Hour.

GV Yishun, Asia's first eco-friendly multiplex will be commemorating this global sustainability movement by switching off non-essential lights in the multiplex for one hour from 8.30pm to 9.30pm on 26th March. This is the first year that GV Yishun is involved in the cause.

And to further demonstrate its unwavering commitment to the cause, other than switching off the lights, GV Yishun will also reschedule the evening movie sessions to end before 8.30pm. The next available movie sessions at GV Yishun will begin after 9.30pm.

There will also be a string of interactive entertainment provided for patrons who support the Earth Hour event. They will be invited to enjoy a night picnic under the stars, with candles and picnic mats provided complimentary by Golden Village. Homegrown Butteribs of SUPERBAND 2008 fame will also be on site to thrill audience with an exclusive unplugged performance outside the premises of GV Yishun's multiplex. In addition to live entertainment, patrons will be treated to attractive prizes sponsored by Hasbro, which they will stand to win when they participate in the special GV Yishun Earth Hour 2011 trivia segment hosted by Butteribs.
