Emerging top among fierce contenders like Wong Kar-Wai’s The Grandmaster (Hot favourite), Jia Zhangke’s A Touch Of Sin, Johnnie To’s Drug War and Tsai Ming-Liang’s Stray Dogs.

Thank you Anthony Chen and team for introducing Singapore films, bringing this little small country onto the international platform.

Ilo Ilo is Singapore’s entry in the Best Foreign Language category of the Academy Awards next year and the final Oscar nominations list will only be announced on 16 January 2014.

We wish Ilo Ilo and the amazing people behind this award-winning film all the best and we can’t wait for more good news to come.
