Lady Gaga's 'The Sound of Music' Tribute at the Oscars was Simply Mind-blowing!

Anything can happen at the Oscars. From mispronunciation of names to awkward conversations between presenters, let's not forget the great moments at Hollywood's biggest awards night as well.

And yes, we're talking about Lady Gaga's faultless performance of a medley of songs from the musical-movie 'The Sound of Music'.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of The Sound of Music, which swept the Oscars in 1965 where the film took home five awards, including Best Picture, Best Music and Best Director. The pop icon sang four tracks: 'The Sound of Music', 'My Favourite Things', 'Edelweiss' and 'Climb Ev'ry Mountain'.

It was pretty awkward when, out of the blue, Scarlett Johansson starts talking about the legacy of The Sound of Music, reminding us why it still remains a classic till today. Then, she introduces Lady Gaga, who performs a medley of songs for the musical film tribute, followed by a surprise appearance by Julie Andrews who comes on stage to present the award for Best Original Score to Alexandre Desplat for The Grand Budapest Hotel.
