Digital Matters

This year’s Digital Matters will focus on the tween fans. One of the highlights will be the appearances of YouTube stars Alfie Deyes and Marcus Butler. With a combined reach of almost 10 million subscribers on the video-sharing platform, they will be joined by leaders in the online entertainment and brand marketing space.

Jasper Donat, Chief Executive Officer of Branded Ltd said, “If you want to understand the future, ask a teenager! I am delighted that we can showcase a whole new world of online entertainment through the lens of the fans themselves.

In addition, a ‘Digital Matters Academy’ is being introduced where teens are able to learn more about digital and social media through fan-focused creative workshops and conferences. These workshops will be ticketed, but the price has yet to be announced.

Asian Television Awards

The 20th edition of the Asian Television Awards (ATA) returns with a two-day even on 2 and 3 December.

For the first time, ATA will be broadcasted “live”, expanding the reach of the awards to more than 80 million households across Asia. Singapore may log in to Toggle to watch the live streaming of the event. It is also the first time where the general public may purchase tickets to catch the awards ceremony live at Suntec City.

ATA’s celebrity line-up will feature some of Asia’s most outstanding acts and individuals. The star-studded show will include performances from Indonesia’s very own gem Anggun.

ScreenSingapore (SS) and  Asia TV Forum & Market (ATF)

Known as the Asia’s leading television and film event, the Asia TV Forum & Market (ATF) and ScreenSingapore will return on 1- 4 December. Besides buying and selling of entertainment content at the market, ATF’s conference will also feature a cast of the industry’s thought leaders who will share their perspectives and expertise on the Asian television industry.

ScreenSingapore introduces a new feature, the Southeast Asian Film Financing (SAFF) Project Market where it serves to connect producers and their projects with commissioners, investors and co-production partners. A total of 10 producers will be selected for this inaugural programme.

“The public can look forward to a host of exciting events and screenings, which makes the SMF a great platform for film buffs and digital media fans to appreciate regional content and meet local and regional talent,” said Angeline Poh, Assistant Chief Executive (Industry) of Singapore’s Media Development Authority.

The Singapore Media Festival runs from 26 Nov - 6 Dec 2015!
