Were you among the crowd who had made their way to GV VivoCity on the Sunday evening?
Earlier in the Sunday afternoon during the ScreenSingapore Opening Media Conference held in Capella Sentosa, Aubeck Kam, Board of ScreenSingapore member and Chief Executive of Media Development Authority of Singapore (MDA), shares with the media the 3 main objectives of the inaugural ScreenSingapore 2011.
3 Objectives
1) It is an opportune moment to make Singapore the heart of Asia and as an base for events to bring together industries leader and enable market to take place.
2) Hope to raise the arts of film making and level of interaction for the practictioners level. A series of conferences and market classes are scheduled to have the leaders to share the latest trend in the industries.
3) Public dimension in the form of red carpet and premiere screenings as well as involvement of distributors in a slate of previews associated with ScreenSingapore. There is also involvement with the China and Italian film festival.
"We hope to enable us to spark a greater interest in films of all genre coming from all countries and raise the level of awareness and appreciation as well as excitement for whole film industry." Aubeck concluded.

Come on down to The Cathay, Handy Road in your cosplay or Japanese outlook for the Red Carpet Gala Premiere for Paradise Kiss and May'N the movie: Phonic Nation 3D! Aya Omasa and May'N will be attending the event too! May'N is expected to perform a couple of songs at the Cathay so don't forget your cameras!

Coming back to the Red Carpet Gala Premiere that took place at GV VivoCity, the crowd also gets a glimpse of our international superstar, Zhang Ziyi, also the Ambassador for ScreenSingapore! Arriving in Singapore just in the afternoon, Zhang Ziyi greets to the enthusiastic crowd and also shares about her experience of working with Aaron Kwok in the movie 'Love For Life' when asked by the emcee.
"It is related to Aids carrier and has been screened in China for about 3 weeks. The media and critics have enjoyed the movie and I look forward to sharing the film with the people in Singapore," Zhang Ziyi replies.
