Vin Diesel has recently announced that Marvel’s Guardians of The Galaxy will be a part of the third Avengers movie, 'Avengers: Infinity Wars' He spilled the news during a live chat on his Facebook page. “Now the Guardians will be included in Avengers: Infinity Wars and that’s incredibly exciting.”

Guardians would have had two movies (with Vol. 2 coming in May 5, 2017) in Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) by the time Infinity War hit the theatres in May 4, 2018.

This would include Diesel’s co-stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Bradley Cooper, and Dave Bautista. They are joining a growing list of cast which includes Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, Elizabeth Olsen, and Sebastian Stan.

The good news should not surprise fans of the franchise. Chris Pratt, as Star-Lord, has been confirmed to be in the movie since April by Russo brothers, the directors of Infinity War. While there has been no doubt that Guardians would join Infinity War, it is good to finally have a confirmation. This would mark the first interaction between the Guardians team and other superheroes in MCU.

Here is from the voice of Groot himself in the following video. Skip to the 20:30 mark for the big announcement.

Let’s celebrate the announcement with a dancing baby Groot.
