How nice will it be to write your arch enemy’s name on a supernatural book that will eventually lead to his/her demise? We know the first name that comes to mind will be someone with the initials ‘D.T.’! If only…
‘Death Note: Light Up The New World’ is the upcoming sequel to ‘Death Note 2: The Last Name’, which that takes place 10 years after the events of the first Death Note murders, a sensational story setting that involves a supernatural notebook ‘Death Note’ that kills anyone whose name is written in it.
This is the best time to catch up with the film series - Death Note, Death Note 2: The Last Name and spin-off L Change The World - which have been box office record holders for Japanese films in Singapore for the past 10 years, grossing over S$5.5 million combined.
There will be 2 different Death Note movie marathon screenings, specially for fans to relive the classic series. In the second marathon screening on 5 Nov, fans will be the first to catch the new sequel and they can also join in the fun at the cosplay party that day!

A new join to the team, director Shinsuke Sato (I am a Hero, GANTZ) helms the highly anticipated sequel this time, which introduces new, exciting story elements as well as new characters. One of the rules in Death Note—“Only six Death Notes are allowed to exist at a time in the human world”—will be featured for the first time in this sequel and will serve as its focal point.
