Starring two of Korean television A-listers - Lee Min Ho and Jun Ji Hyun, the highly anticipated blockbuster series ‘Legend of the Blue Sea’ will dazzle viewers this November on channel ONE.
Helmed by renowned screenwriter Park Ji Eun (My Love from the Star) and acclaimed director Jin Hyuk (The Master’s Sun, City Hunter), the 20-episode drama is also seen as the highly anticipated comeback drama for both its leading stars. The series marks Lee Min Ho’s return to the small screen after three years, and it is the first drama for new mum Jun Ji Hyun, who gave birth to a baby boy earlier this year in February.
The series tells the tale of the centuries-spanning love of the world’s last mermaid and the man who has saved her. In the present day, Lee Min Ho plays a genius conman, and hilarity ensues when he crosses paths with Jun Ji Hyun’s mermaid character as she attempts to adjust to life on land.

Heo Joon Jae (Lee Min Ho) is a genius conman with a heart of gold, adept at playing tricks, bluffing, and twisting words to suit his goals. Shim Chung (Jun Ji Hyun) is the world's last mermaid, whose centuries-spanning love has brought her to present-day Seoul in search of the man who saved her in the past and whom she still faithfully loves. When the two meet, what sparks will fly as the mermaid attempts to adjust to life on land, and the swindler finds himself falling in love with this quirky girl?
Legend of the Blue Sea premieres on ONE on 17 November and airs every Thursday and Friday at 8.10pm, within 24 hours of its Korean telecast. It is available first and exclusively on ONE.
