The opening film is Interchange, a noir fantasy thriller by Malaysian filmmaker Dain Iskandar Said. He attends the red carpet together with the film’s producer Nandita Solomon and the full cast of Interchange, including Indonesian actor Nicholas Saputra and Malaysian actor Shaheizy Sam.

The feature is accompanied by a short film, The Pursuit of a Happy Human Life, by local director Gladys Ng. She won the Best Singapore Short Film under the Southeast Asian Short Film category at the Silver Screen Awards in the 26th SGIFF last year.

The 27th SGIFF will last until 4 December. You can find the festival line-up here and purchase the tickets for special presentations here and all other films here.
