8.1m AT-ACT Goes Rogue at VivoCity

By Freddy  /  30 Nov 2016 (Wednesday)

If you pop by VivoCity’s central court, you cannot possibly miss the grand AT-ACT Walker right at the centre. Towering at 8.1 metres tall and weighing 3 tonnes, the walker took a month to be constructed from concrete, metal, wood, and foam.

The AT-ACT stands for All Terrain Armored Cargo Transport. This walker has not appeared in any of the 7 Star Wars films that have been released so far. We have only seen it in the trailers of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. It is the larger version of the famous AT-AT first featured in Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.

When the display was officially opened yesterday, Star Wars costuming organization 501st Legion marched down to the AT-ACT. Decked in various Star Wars costumes, Empires and Rebels alike, they posed for and took photos with numerous Star Wars fans who flooded the venue.
