Sesame Street Movie Starring Anne Hathaway Gets a 2021 Release Date

The live-action Sesame Street movie is slated to premiere on the big screen on January 15, 2021.
Said to be a movie musical, it stars Anne Hathaway and is directed by ‘Portlandia’ director Jonathan Krisel. Chris Galletta (Kings of Summer) wrote the most recent draft of the screenplay.
The movie will begin shooting in June. While other actors are not announced at this moment, fans will expect to see their favourite characters from the gang such as Sesame Street residents Big Bird, Oscar the Grouch and Cookie Monster making an appearance too!
This would mark the first big screen Sesame Street movie since 1999’s The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland.
