Melissa McCarthy in talks to play Ursula in “Little Mermaid” live-action remake

Melissa McCarthy (Ghostbusters) is ready to be a part of your world for the actress is poised to play the iconic villain Ursula in the upcoming Disney remake of ‘The Little Mermaid’.
Disney isn’t done with their live-action adaptations with films like Mulan, Cruella (101 Dalmations), Peter Pan and Pinocchio in the pipeline, The Hollywood Reporter reports.
Rob Marshall who directed the recent Mary Poppins Returns will direct the undersea tale, which will incorporate original songs from the 1989 animated hit series as well as new originals from Alan Menken and Lin-Manuel Miranda. The original film won 2 Academy Awards for Best Original Score and Best Original Song ("Under the Sea") by Menken.
The remake has not yet cast the lead role of Ariel and other characters. Who will be your choice of the Disney princess?
