Daniel Craig will play agent 007 for the fifth and final time in “No Time to Die”, set to release April 2020. Directed by Cary Fukunaga, who took over filmmaking duties after Danny Boyle departed the project over creative differences, which delayed the project for a few months.
Apart from the directors shuffle that pushed back its premiere date, Craig had to undergo minor ankle surgery after sustaining an on-set injury in May, and Pinewood Studios was affected due to a controlled explosion over the summer.
The upcoming film is the 25th entry in the action spy series where we see Bond (Daniel Craig), who left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica. His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help. The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.
The film also stars Rami Malek as the villain, Ralph Fiennes, Lashana Lynch, Naomie Harris, Ben Wishaw, Rory Kinnear, Lea Seydoux and Jeffrey Wright.
