Marvel eyes Hailee Steinfeld to play Kate Bishop in Disney+ series

From the Barden Bellas to Bumblebee and maybe Avengers next? Variety reported that Oscar-nominated actress Hailee Steinfeld has been eyed to play the lead role of Kate Bishop in the upcoming Marvel Studios/Disney+ series, “Hawkeye”.
Bishop is the character who takes on the mantle of Hawkeye in the comics and will serve as Jeremy Renner’s protégé in the new series. Disney or Marvel has yet to make an official announcement, but the show will make its way to the streaming platform in the next couple of years since it has already been reported during San Diego Comic-Con as Marvel’s Phase 4 plan. Steinfeld was last seen - or heard - in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse as Gwen Stacy.
