Black-and-White ‘Parasite’ screening releasing in cinemas on 10 February

3 cinemas: Golden Village Funan, Cathay Orchard and The Projector will screen the black-and-white version of the Korean award-winning film ‘Parasite’ from 10 February onwards. Nominated for a Best Picture award at the upcoming Oscars, the first for a South Korean film, Parasite is directed by Bong Joon-ho and has collected numerous awards such as the ‘Best Foreign Film’ at the Golden Globe awards, and the ‘Best Original Screenplay’ at the BAFTA Film Awards. 

Parasite tells the story of a poor family who insinuate themselves as servants into a much richer one. The film is also nominated for 5 other awards including Best Director, Best Foreign Language Film, Best Original Screenplay, Best Production Design and Best Film Editing. 

Starring an ensemble of stellar Korean actors including Song Kang-ho, Lee Sun-kyun, Cho Yeo-jeong, Choi Woo-shik and Park So-dam, Parasite was released in Singapore on 29 June 2019 and has collected $750,000 as of 6 February 2020 after showing for 32 weeks in the cinemas.
