THINGS YOU DIDN’T KNOW ABOUT HBO’S WESTWORLD SEASON 3

Unless you are living under a rock, you should have heard it through the grapevine that HBO’s Westworld Season 3 is coming. Right before the premiere of Westworld Season 3 on 16 March, we have obtained some fun facts that will make the show much more interesting if you have all this background knowledge!

Where were the filming locations in Singapore for Westworld Season 3?

In a previous article, I was asking you guys to spot where were the filming locations by watching the trailer. To be honest, the trailer only showed the tip of the iceberg for the various locations filmed in Singapore. It includes but isn't limited to popular tourist spots like Orchard Road and Chinatown, as well as at futuristic infrastructure and iconic architectural gems such as the Helix Bridge, National Gallery Singapore and School of the Arts (SOTA). Filming in Singapore was assisted by both the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) and Singapore Tourism Board (STB). I shall reveal the places so keep your eyes peeled while watching the series!

2. Parts of the series was filmed in Singapore so were there any Singapore-based talent involved?

The answer is YES! Several Singapore-based talents were involved in this season of Westworld. They include Tuen Wai Meng <段伟明> (“128 Circle”, “Neighbours” <芝麻绿豆>), Salif Hardie (“Lion Mums 3”, “Azam dan Johan”), Nikki Muller (“SeNT”, “FAM”), Cheryl Chitty Tan (“Faculty”, “Derek”) and Bobby Tonelli (“Fighting Spiders”, “Cages”).

3. Do you know about the end credits scene?

If you are like me, someone who can’t stand cliffhangers the extra scene is perfect as it can let you anticipate what is coming in the upcoming episode! So remember to stay tuned for the end-credit scene!

4. Cameos?

Apparently there will be cameos from another HBO Original series but there isn’t any other information as HBO is being tight-lipped about this, so just watch the series when it premieres!

5. #INCITEknowsyou

In conjunction with the premiere of the new season, a Westworld-themed website I Know You, centred around data privacy, has been launched. The application, was created to allow users to “Chart Your Path” simply with an Instagram username, and discover how much data one can collect from the public domain easily, showing users just how accurately Incite (#INCITEknowsyou), a data company of the future in Westworld, knows them and in turn giving them eerily actionable life advice. You can immerse and feel like you are in the drama with this application! The website is a campaign for Westworld 3 so its available from now till the season finale on 4 May 2020 so hurry and give it a shot as it’s only for a short 2 months!

If you can't wait, you can binge watch on the past seasons and wait for the premiere on HBO GO! Westworld Season 3 premieres same time as the U.S. on Monday, 16 March at 9am exclusively on HBO GO and HBO, with an encore telecast at 9pm on HBO. New episodes premiere every Monday at the same time.
