The Golden Globes has officially postponed its 2021 ceremony, after a two-month delay to the Oscars. The announcement marks the second Hollywood award show to have its calendar date reshuffled due to the coronavirus epidemic.
The Golden Globes ceremony which traditionally kicks off Hollywood’s award season, will now take place on Feb 28 2021 instead of its usual slot on the first Sunday of January. This is confirmed by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA), which are the official partners that hands out the trophies.
Another major award show, the Academy Awards (aka Oscars), also postponed their initial date from Feb 28 to April 25, 2021.
