War Epic ‘The Eight Hundred’ to Screen in theatres this September!

Directed by Guan Hu, The Eight Hundred 《八佰》is set to screen in theatres on 10 September. This blockbuster is based on true events during the Sino-Japanese war in China in 1937. The film stars Oho Ou, Du Chan, Huang Zhizhong, Vision Wei, Wang Qianyan, Jiang Wu, Zhang Yi and Yu Haoming. 

The Eight Hundred is set to be one of the first Chinese blockbusters releasing in Phase 2 since the reopening of cinemas. The film was recently released in China and had strong previews, with encouraging box office numbers earlier this week. 

Synopsis:
The film is based on true events taking place during Sino-Japanese war in Shanghai, China in 1937.  There are around 400 soldiers (so called Eight Hundred Heroes in history), holding out against numerous waves of Japanese forces for 4 days and 4 nights during the battle and protection of the Si Hang Warehouse.
