'Father of the Bride' is getting a reboot!

Warner Bros. has big plans to reboot the comedy flick, Father of the Bride!
Though there aren’t any cast members in place yet, the reboot will reportedly feature a Cuban American family at the center of the story.
The very original Father of the Bride was released in 1950 and starred Spencer Tracy and Elizabeth Taylor as a couple dealing with their daughter’s impending nuptials the best they can. Steve Martin and Diane Keaton starred in the remake in 1991, which was successful enough to spawn a sequel.
This news follows the upcoming Father of the Bride reunion special from Netflix that will reunite Martin and Keaton with Kimberly Williams, George Newbern, Kieran Culkin and Martin Short. It will be directed by Nancy Meyers, who produced and co-wrote the 1991 movie with director Charles Shyer.
