The homeless people later filed charges against the government demanding compensation and a public apology.

The film has been invited to several prestigious film festivals internationally including the Rotterdam International Film Festival, Hong Kong International Film Festival, British Chinese Visual Festival and Italy Udine Far East Film Festival; and in August 2021, the film won the Grand Jury Prize and Audience Award at the 15th FIRST International Film Festival (第15届FIRST青年电影展) held in Xining, Qinghai Province, China.
