Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities debuts on Netflix October 25 and it is the perfect pick for your Spooky Season Watchlist!

In Cabinet of Curiosities, acclaimed Academy Award-winning filmmaker and creator, executive producer and co-showrunner Guillermo del Toro has curated a collection of unprecedented and genre-defining stories meant to challenge our traditional notions of horror. From macabre to magical, gothic to grotesque or classically creepy, these eight equally sophisticated and sinister tales (including two original stories by del Toro) are brought to life by a team of writers and directors personally chosen by del Toro.

Guillermo del Toro, master of the macabre, presents a new anthology series that surprises, delights and horrifies as eight hand-picked directors tackle stories that explore the edges of what “horror” means. From otherworldly creatures to internal demons, Cabinet of Curiosities plumbs the depths of the human psyche as it makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up. Over the course of eight episodes, some original stories, others based on horror classics, a who’s who of genre helmers direct a cavalcade of stars including Andrew Lincoln, Essie Davis, Glynn Turman, F. Murray Abraham, Rupert Grint, Tim Blake Nelson, Dan Stevens, and Crispin Glover. Cabinet of Curiosities was created and is executive produced by Guillermo del Toro who also appears to introduce each episode. Directors include Jennifer Kent (The Babadook), Oscar winner Guillermo Navarro (Pan’s Labyrinth), Panos Cosmatos (Mandy), David Prior (The Empty Man), Keith Thomas (The Vigil), Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight), Vincenzo Natali (In the Tall Grass), and Ana Lily Amirpour (The Bad Batch).
