Singapore-Malaysia co-production La Luna announces their official participation at the upcoming 36th Tokyo International Film Festival, under the Asian Future Section!

La Luna will be holding its World Premiere on 24 October 2023 at the prestigious festival in Tokyo where Director M. Raihan Halim along with his lead cast Shaheizy Sam and Sharifah Amani are set to attend. The trio expressed their excitement in a special shoutout clip:

Director M. Raihan Halim said:

It is a true honour to have LA LUNA make its world premiere in Tokyo International Film Festival. I am excited to begin sharing our little film to everyone starting from my favourite city in the world!

Mr Lim Teck, Managing Director of Clover Films and Executive Producer of the movie, adds on:

We are so happy for Raihan, the amazing cast and the entire team that LA LUNA is competing at Tokyo! We need to express our appreciation to all our partners, especially the government agencies in both Singapore and Malaysia for supporting the movie! We look forward to a great premiere in Tokyo!

Held annually in Japan, Tokyo International Film Festival honours works by celebrated filmmakers from around the world. The Asian Future Section is a competitive section that features work from up-and-coming Asian directors, where a total of ten films are selected to compete for the “Asian Future Best Film Award.”
