Marvel Studios has officially revealed its "The Fantastic Four" cast!

By InCinemas  /  15 Feb 2024 (Thursday)

After months of long speculation on the cast for Marvel Studios' The Fantastic Four, the studio has decidedly announced them in a most surprising way!

The subtle reveal was posted to their social media channels via a lovely 60s style Valentine's greeting. See it below:

If the artwork isn't clear enough, it is confirmed the superhero quartet — the first characters created for Marvel Comics by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby — will be played by Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards (aka Mr. Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm (aka the Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm (aka the Human Torch) and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm (aka the Thing).

Pascal is undoubtedly one of the hottest stars in demand right now, headlining not one but two critically-acclaimed television series (The Mandalorian, The Last Of Us) while Vanessa Kirby–known for her villainous role in the Mission Impossible franchise–was most recently seen in Ridley Scott's epic historical drama, Napoleon (2023). Stranger Things' breakout star Quinn may have only survived a season on the Netflix hit series but he's since made a name for himself with his memorable performance and has two films releasing this year – A Quiet Place: Day One and the highly-anticipated Gladiator sequel while Moss-Bachrach is currently hot off the heels from winning an Emmy for his role in The Bear and was last featured in the Jennifer Lawrence sex comedy, No Hard Feelings (2023).

The film will be directed by Matt Shakman, known mostly for television work including episodes of WandaVision, Succession and The Great.

No further details have been revealed but the aesthetic of the poster and title treatment seems to promise a period setting. Only time will tell...

Marvel Studios' The Fantastic Four arrives in cinemas 24 July 2025.
