Slurp up the exclusive collaborative treat for a limited time only from 3 January till 3 February 2025 and usher in prosperity with the familiar notes of Singapore’s top soy sauce producer’s iconic product.
This unexpected pairing delivers a perfect blend of sweet, savory, and umami flavours, offering a unique experience that challenges traditional dessert boundaries.
The limited edition flavour combines the creamy, rich texture of traditional gelato with the deep, savory notes of soy sauce. Carefully balanced, the recipe ensures the soy sauce complements rather than overpowers the sweetness of the dessert. Salted caramel bits are added for texture, creating a sophisticated flavor profile that appeals to adventurous foodies and dessert lovers alike.

I drew inspiration from fine dining applications where they would make soy sauce caramel and I thought that was a good way to start. We wanted to create something that surprises people and redefines their understanding of what gelato can be.
Concocted with selected premium soy beans, Tai Hua’s signature soy sauce is one that is familiar to locals islandwide since its inception more than 70 years ago. Highlighting the versatility of Tai Hua’s soy sauce, this unique treat blends perfectly into MOIC’s whimsical and interactive experiential playscape for a one-of-kind tasting experience. This collaboration epitomises MOIC’s continued efforts in supporting local brands and businesses by shining a spotlight on their iconic products in a novel way, all while creating uniquely MOIC experiences for guests.
