Strap in, folks – Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning is now set to arrive in cinemas 17 May.
Initially slated to release alongside the live-action Disney's Lilo & Stitch on 22 May, the upcoming spy film will now be premiering a little less than a week than planned. (Guess we're not doing a Barbenheimer this year.)
Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning has been speculated to be the final film of the series so it has a lot riding on its success, though it doesn't look like it has much to worry about considering the series overall is one of the highest-grossing film franchises of all time.
The eighth installment of the Mission: Impossible series will see Tom Cruise reprise his role as Ethan Hunt, alongside an ensemble cast consisting of Hayley Atwell, Pom Klementieff, Vanessa Kirby, Nick Offerman, Holt McCallany, Hannah Waddingham, Angela Bassett, Esai Morales, Shea Whigham, Greg Tarzan Davis, Charles Parnell. It is written and directed by Christopher McQuarrie, who also wrote and directed the past three Mission: Impossible films.
