INITIAL D 《头文字D》 makes a comeback on the big screen for its 20th anniversary!

Shaw Organisation is elated to present the 20th Anniversary Special Edition 4K of well-loved Hong Kong classic Initial D in Cantonese!
This Hong Kong film adaption of Shuichi Shigeno’s street racing manga series was an era-defining film for many fans of the franchise – encapsulating nitty gritty details from the manga, all while featuring a beloved all-star cast consisting of esteemed talents Jay Chou, Anne Suzuki, Edison Chen, Shawn Yue, Anthony Wong and more.
The film is remastered in 4K and presented in its original Cantonese language, will celebrate and mark 20 years with limited screenings exclusively at Shaw Theatres from 9 January 2026 onwards. Tickets go on sale at shaw.sg on 5 December 2025, 10am. Every ticket purchase also entails an exclusive collectible poster.
