Back by popular demand, the girls from Japan’s biggest pop sensation AKB48 will be performing a series of ‘live’ concert events this January!
Golden Village, in association with Sony PCL Inc, is proud to present five AKB48 concert events, telecast ‘live’ from the Tokyo Dome City Hall in Japan. The concerts will be broadcasted via satellite to cinema screens at Golden Village VivoCity, and across Asia.

More about AKB48:
AKB48 is an all-female idol group created by Producer Yasushi Akimoto in December 2005. With the concept “idols you can meet everyday”, AKB48 performs at the exclusive AKB48 Theatre in Akihabara almost every day.
They performed at the “62th Kouhaku uta gassen” in 2011, and star in their own TV programs such as “AKBINGO!”, “Weekly AKB”, and “Naruhodo Highschool”.

AKB48 holds the Guinness World Record for being the world’s largest pop group. AKB48 won “the best performer of the year” at Japan Record Awards 2011. Their songs also dominated top 5 spots of the Japanese hit charts in 2011.
