Produced by Noon Talk Media, Timeless Love opens InCinemas 8 March 2012. Even though the film is released a month later, hype for the film has been trickling into the consciousness of Singaporeans!

InCinemas was there on the ground to cover the press conference as we bring you more information about the film and who's playing which character. (Do check out our movie detail page for Timeless Love here!)

Co-directors Christopher Lim (林坤辉) and Dasmond Koh (许振荣), and the entire cast were there, except for Singapore actor Joshua Ang (洪赐健), and Taiwanese actress Cynthia Ruby Wang (王心如). The latter made a special "appearance" on video as she recorded a 5-minute message for everyone on a beach, presumably at Bintan, where the film was shot against its picturesque scenery. Wang expressed her gratitude at the opportunity to be part of the film, and was very happy during the production as everyone was like family.

Here's the extended synopsis that will introduce the film's eight major characters...

Morgan (Aloysius Pang, 冯伟衷), a University student who is born in a wealthy family has been living with his grandmother (Wang) since young. He has a systematic way of handling things which often results in paranoia when something becomes amiss. Rigidness and inflexibility is thus generated due to his strong desire to make full use of time. However, things began to change when his grandmother, his only kin ever since the death of his parents, passed away.

Amongst Morgan’s grandmother’s belongings, Morgan finds an island’s lease and also, gazes upon a few pictures of her grandmother and a stranger posing intimately in an island. He somehow recalls that his grandmother used to tell him stories of her regrets with regards to a watch and the island when he was younger…

Intrigued on the identity of the mysterious man and to escape the paparazzi, he decides to head to the island to unravel the mysteries and seek answers. His best friend and confidante, Sky (Xu Bin, 徐彬), tags along to accompany him for the trip. Being an optimistic and enthusiastic person, Sky is the only person who has the ability to get Morgan to ease up on life and have fun.

However, without Morgan knowing, Sky contacts Pepper (Josephine Chan, 陈映珍), childhood playmate of Morgan and informs her about the plan. Pepper decides to join the expedition without Morgan’s approval..

Uri (Eugene Lim, 林建辰), a paparazzi, approaches the island for his own hidden agenda. In the island, he acquaints with Xiaowei (Kimberly Chia, 谢静仪) and fall for her. Xiaowei’s brother, Eden (Ang), the heir of the family who has been looking over the island, is one that believes in the simplicity of life.

Upon setting eyes on Pepper, Eden is caught off guard by her charisma and decides to woo her. That spark ignites the hunger to win between both Eden and Morgan as they pit themselves against one another constantly.

As they get to know each other day after day in the island, sharing their life stories, the bond between the youngsters develops and strengthens…

Not to forget, Michelle Tay (郑荔分) plays Yi Da Li, the cheerful housekeeper to Morgan, who provides the film with loads of comic relief! The name of her character 'Yi Da Li' is derived from her nickname itself, which is better known to the public. The director Christopher Lim notes that this role is specially designed for Michelle Tay. "Just be yourself" is what the director told Michelle when she first asked about her role.

Speaking of which, Tay's presence was felt greatly in the press conference because of her loud voice and infectious laughter, not to mention her pointy ponytail! When told not to move her head so much by Director Dasmond Koh in case it poked Xu Bin and Kimberly Chia (who were both seated next to her) in the face, Tay responded with a huge laugh, "We have been poking here and there even before the press conference!"

Timeless Love is marketed as a youth motivational movie that is told in a fresh manner, and set in a scenic environment that is different from the usual local film. Its poster channels a positive, youthful vibe, and reminds us of the hit Taiwanese film, You Are the Apple of My Eye!

Because the film touches on the theme of time, City Chain has very generously sponsored five elegant watches for a lucky draw contest. Everyone who had a media pass (with a number at the back) was eligible for the lucky draw. 5 lucky winners were randomly picked and they walked away happily with a watch to call their own!

In the next few weeks, InCinemas will bring you exclusive interviews with Director Christopher Lim, and some of the cast including Michelle Tay, Aloysius Pang, Eugene Lim, and Josephine Chan!
