ASTRO B.yond HD customers can now watch the latest Chinese blockbusters and other hit Asian movies in high-definition on CM HD, alongside a unique mix of action and thriller programmes premiering first and exclusively on KIX HD.  Malaysia becomes the first market in the region to carry CM HD, and the second market for KIX HD following the channel’s Singapore launch in November 2011.

Celestial Movies HD offers subscribers first run and exclusive Chinese and Asian blockbusters as well as all-time favorites, now in sterling high-definition quality and widescreen format. CM HD's March and April highlights include the award-winning 2011 blockbuster Overheard 2, starring Louis Koo and Daniel Wu, and martial arts fantasy Sorcerer and the White Snake, from legendary action director Ching Siu-tung and starring international superstar Jet Li, Eva Huang, Raymond Lam and Charlene Choi.

KIX HD offers “Action by Day, Thrill by Night” in high-definition. The channel features five distinct programming pillars: fight events, action series, action reality, action movies and a late-night block of thriller movies. KIX HD highlights in March and April include Malaysia premieres of DREAM 2012, a must-watch yearly MMA fight-fest staged in Saitama, Japan featuring the legendary Fedor Emelianenko vs. Japanese heavyweight star Satoshi Ishii; and highly-rated Korean drama "A Yaksa", a 12-episode period martial arts tale starring Jo Dong-hyeok and Seo Do-yeong.

Coming soon in April first and exclusively is "Blood Thirsty Prosecutor" (a.k.a. Vampire Prosecutor), a 12-episode Korean drama about a prosecutor (Yun Jung-hoon) who uses his vampire powers to exact justice; and "Expedition Impossible", a new show from Survivor and The Apprentice creator Mark Burnett making its debut in Malaysia.

Celestial Movies HD marks our first HD movie channel and we look forward to extending the channel to more markets in the region. KIX HD marks the first time the channel and many of its programmes have been seen in Malaysia. We are confident that the channel's mix of action and thrills in high definition will appeal to Malaysian viewers of all ethnicities.”
