Synopsis
There’s been an explosion at the symbol of Osaka, Nichiuri TV! Inside, an interview is being recorded about the Satsuki Cup and everyone panics in the explosion! The great detective of the west, Hattori Heiji, and his childhood friend Toyama Kazuha are left behind as the building collapses, but the two manage to make a narrow escape after being rescued by Conan. This mysterious incident is just like an act of terrorism, but the criminal releases no motive or declaration, leaving Conan and Heiji feeling especially unsettled. Amidst this turmoil, Conan and his friends meet the insistent self-declared fiance of Heiji named Ooka Momiji. Momiji, who claims that she is the person Heiji is fated to marry after his proposal to her as a child, is the high school champion of Hyakunin Isshu, also called the future queen. Meanwhile, the winner of the Satsuki Cup is murdered at a home in Arashiyama, Kyoto. A recording of the scene of the crime reveals to be Momiji.
