Synopsis
Son of film virtuoso director, Alfonso Cuaron and co-writer of sci-fi spectacle, GRAVITY, Jonas Cuaron’s debut feature DESIERTO brings us crashing down to earth to the harsh and unforgiving landscape that is the US-Mexico border. Starring leading man, Gael Garcia Bernal as one of a group of illegal border-crossers, being viciously hunted down by a confederate flag-waving psychopath.

A tightly-paced thriller, loosely-inspired by real-life American “vigilantes” who gun down innocent people in the name of patriotism, DESIERTO is a piercingly timely portrait of bigotry and hatred and those who suffer as a result.
