Sequel to the 1964 classic Mary Poppins, Mary Poppins Returns re-introduces a magical fantasy to the Banks family.

The Good
If you love Disney films and if you love musical movies, this is the one. Mary Poppins Returns opens with Lin-Manuel’s enticing vocals as he danced through the little town in London to the house of the Banks.

Emily Blunt, starring as Mary Poppins, brings out the character with her eccentric British accent and wonderful vocals. Not to mention, she is co-acting with Meryl Streep again, since Into The Woods in 2014. (Yes, another Disney musical movie!)

The storyline is also a journey filled with magic and pastel or bright colours that will surely lighten up the mood. So long as you let your imagination run wild, anything can happen. “Everything is possible, even the impossible,” they say.

The (Not That) Bad
If you cannot stand people suddenly breaking into a song, please avoid at all costs. Otherwise, bring a youthful heart with you and enjoy the show! Have you forgotten what’s it like to be a child?
