Unhinged stars Academy Award-winner Russell Crowe in a psychological thriller that takes road rage up a notch, and it escalates to an unpredictable and horrifying conclusion. Rachel (Caren Pistorius) is having a lousy morning due to a few minor conflicts. She soon crosses path with an intimidating stranger (Russell Crowe) while driving her son (Jimmi Simpson) to school. Before she could react, Rachel finds everyone she loves becoming the target of the menacing stranger. What follows is the darkest day of her entire life as Rachel is dragged into a dangerous cat and mouse game that will become her nightmare forever.

Dark thriller, Violence and Psychological. If those genres tickle your fancy, this is the movie for you. Intense from the get-go, Unhinged manages to keep a certain level of suspense and excitement throughout the film to keep you on the edge of your seat. There's an unexpected twist that will have your eyes glued to the screen.

As expected of an Academy Award-winner, Russell Crowe does a great job in portraying the villainous psychopath with no name. I could feel that Crowe put his thought into every action and line, irregardless of it being minor or major. The tension that he brings out while he acts isn’t a skill every actor posseses.

If you are free (or not) this weekend, you should head down to the cinemas to catch Unhinged!
