Writer-director Joy made no exceptions time after time. A multiple Emmy Award nominee (Pushing Daisies, Westworld), she continues to push boundaries and produce great content. As a result, Reminiscence should be one of your most eagerly anticipated forthcoming films.
Hugh Jackman, Rebecca Ferguson, Thandiwe Newton, Cliff Curtis, Marina De Tavira, Daniel Wu, and Mojean Aria star in this film. Taking you on a voyage through your memories, releasing a genuine phantasm of your loved ones.
A trip down memory lane. That stayed with me throughout the movie. It retaliates by making you reconsider what's so important to you that you never wanted to let go of. As I watched the movie, a slew of emotions piled up inside of me. The majority of the scenarios awed me, as the production did a fantastic job. However, there were a few things that irked me. I wasn't convinced by Jackman's ostensibly awful circumstances. I was expecting more, and honestly, I was hoping it wouldn't be like your typical love sacrifice. Something new appeals to me. It made me lose that pumped feeling, much to my dismay. However, everything is, for the most part, a flawless cake mixture.
For those who enjoy the romantic cliche of love sacrifice, this film is for you. Additionally, cinematography nerds, this is deservedly for you. Paul Cameron surely never disappoints with his gifted cinematography as a key role in the film. Producers Jonathan Nolan, Michael De Luca, Aaron Ryder, and, without a doubt, Lisa Joy, did a fantastic job for the most part, even though they did miss a few points. Everything in the film, from the graphics to the props, was carefully considered, even the intricate aspects. This movie pushes critical thinking to new heights.
Despite the fact that some aspects of the plot did not appeal to me, I would absolutely watch it again to witness the exceptional dramatics, as well as the rest of the film, with the exception of those one or two flaws.
P/S: Overall quality and production being put into the film is intriguing, why did the sacrifice of love irk me? Well, year after year, writers have written this same plot. Though only a few chose to stray away from this norm, I wonder what it will take for films to initiate an unaccustomed nuance.
