Synopsis
For decades, Victor and Raya Frenkel were the golden voices of the Soviet film dubbing industry, adding Russian voice-overs to western movies for the Soviet audience. In 1990, with the collapse of the Soviet Union, the Frenkels decided to do Aliyah – immigrate to Israel, like hundreds of thousands of Soviet Jews. As there was no need in Israel for Russian-speaking dubbing artists, Victor and Raya struggled to find jobs. Attempts to use their talent in their first months in Israel leads to an amusing, painful, and absurd experience.
