Mama tells the story of what happens over seven days in a village in rural China during the 1990's. It depicts the memory of a 12-year-old girl Xiaoxian about her family and village. In seven days, she witnesses three deaths and two births, including the death of her own mother who dies while giving birth to her fourth sister.
这是一部纪念妈妈的电影。《妈妈和七天的时间》是一个讲述上世纪90年代在中国农村七天里发生的故事。故事里记载了小咸，一个12岁女孩对家庭和村庄的记忆。在这七天里，发生了三次死亡和两次出生。
