Synopsis
This is the rambunctious, ridiculous and totally true story of how the Minions conquered Hollywood, became movie stars, lost everything, unleashed monsters onto the world and then banded together to try and save the planet from the mayhem they had just created.

The Minions may be known for their lively antics, but there’s more to them than just their playful way of speaking.

Over the years, audiences have grown to love the Minions for their mischievous charm, slapstick humour, and odd gibberish language. In Minions & Monsters, the franchise takes a refreshing turn by exploring the history of the small, yellow creatures before they become the versions we’ve come to know today – like how they came to adopt their iconic outfits.

What makes this sequel especially interesting is how it takes us back to a time before modern cinema, incorporating old-school film cameras and classic filmmaking equipment to show how movies were once made. (God forbid cinema dies before we teach the kids more about it!) 

Minions & Monsters, like its predecessors before, works best through its humour. Beyond the physical comedy and chaos, the film shines through its smaller comedic details — especially the clever use of everyday words woven into Minion language, making their dialogue feel both hilarious and strangely relatable. The laughs just come naturally.

At its core, Minions & Monsters is more than just chaos and comedy. Beneath all the laughs, the film explores themes of friendship, loyalty, and the importance of having someone believe in you. It reminds us that sometimes, all it takes is one person to see your potential and give you the courage to keep pursuing your dreams, even in the face of uncertainty. While the film delivers everything fans would expect — humour, chaos, and plenty of Minion mischief — it also offers a story with more depth than expected.
