Synopsis
The latest contribution to cinema from veteran auteur Arturo Ripstein is a darkly comedic and nihilistic black-and-white crime drama. We follow the parallel tales of two pairs of characters – one, a pair of elderly sex workers trying to make ends meet and another, a set of twin dwarf lucha libre wrestlers with a lot to prove. When their two worlds collide in a seedy motel, schemes are concocted and grave mistakes occur.
