Synopsis
Is Minyo dead? This is a documentary about Minyo, starring the band Minyo Crusaders. Minyo is a traditional Japanese folk music, and a genre at risk of extinction. For many Japanese, Minyo is considered ‘lost music’. Minyo Crusaders mixes Minyo with Latin beats in unique arrangements to ‘bring Minyo back’ to contemporary audiences. In 2019, the band toured Colombia and various European cities where they experiment with the fusion of different genres with Minyo.
