Synopsis
THE MAGE follows Lan Pui-ching (Josie Ho), an eccentric woman who carries a large cloth bag collecting “trash”. She repeatedly appears at crime scenes where police have ruled as suicides or accidents. Officer Wong Ming (Carlos Chan) initially believes that she is mentally unstable, until he discovers that she has the ability to communicate with the dead. As the two investigate the victims, they uncover a sinister conspiracy. With the true mastermind lurking in the shadows, Lan Pui-ching must overcome the inner demons that have haunted her for 13 years and stop the next murder in a world where science and supernatural collide.《拾荒法师》讲述行为古怪、终日背着大布袋四处捡拾「垃圾」的蓝沛清（何超饰），接连出现在多宗被警方判定为自杀或意外的死亡现场。负责调查的警官黄明起初认为她精神失常，直至发现她其实天生拥有与亡魂沟通的能力。当两人循着死者姓名、生辰及案发方位追查，逐步揭开有人以连环杀人邪术为神秘教主续命的阴谋。面对真正主谋，蓝沛清亦必须克服纠缠自己十三年的心魔，在科学与玄学交错的世界中阻止下一宗命案…
