Synopsis
Isi Neraka produced in 1960 is a melodrama with some religious aspects. The film tells a story on the arrival of Islam in a village and it’s acceptance by the Sultan and the villagers. However, a group of young lads led by Wira rejected the new religion even as his mother and sister became newly devout converts. When his family left for Malacca to trade, he caused chaos in the village with the help of Adi and friends by seizing property, robbing, and killing the villagers. The return of his family was a relief to the villagers as they started to complain on the brutality committed by Wira. His mother, Mak Uteh who feels guilty, replaced the lost possessions of the villagers by giving up all the items in her house. Mak Uteh was also not spared of his cruelty. When she was dying, as a result of being abused by Wira, she requested for her son to repent, as her last wish. With the face and pleas of his weak mother, will Wira ever feel remorseful for his actions?
