Synopsis
This biopic portrays the last six months in the life of Jan Palach. The philosophy student self-immolated to protest against the Soviet invasion of Czechoslovakia to crush the Prague Spring. The film opens with a dream-like sequence showing Jan lost in a snowy forest before seguing into the rapid developments of 1968. The "Prague hero's" death got worldwide attention and galvanized the nation with 600,000 people attending his funeral.
