Synopsis
Aida is a brilliant and inspired 11-year-old researcher of rocks and outer space. Being on the autism spectrum, Aida's brain also works differently than most. While sensory overload and social challenges make her ventures through the world of neurotypicals impossible, Aida and her caregiver mother, Johanna remain undefeated, setting out to change the world for the people like her who are tired of being held back by society’s rigid norms. Neurotypes is a raw and moving showcase of Aida's resilience and the strength of those around her in their fight for their rights to achieve their highest heights. Maija HIRVONEN's immense success in fully honouring Aida’s story of courage and hope is a testament to her commitment to document Aida’s journey in all of its glory.
