Synopsis
ODIYAN topped the most anticipated Indian movies list recently in IMDB. Superstar Mohanlal shed around 20 kilos to enact the young Odiyan in the movie. ODIYAN scripted by national award winning writer Harikrishnan, chronicles the life of Odiyans, who were mentioned in the folk songs of North Kerala. They have the ability to transfigure into any animal with their sorcery power.The story revolves around the last surviving Odiyan called Manikyan. Manikyan is considered the greatest Odiyan that ever lived. He has mastered the skills that have been passed down by his forefathers of the clan. Odiyan has his unique blessings- a powerful physique, bestial night vision and omnipresence in assorted forms.The film is the story of the last Odiyan lived in the Palakkad village and his life across 50 years. Mohanlal plays the role of Odiyan Manickan, Manju Warrier is the heroine of the movie and Prakash Raj enacts the antagonist. The movie has an ensemble cast including Innocent, Sidhiq, Narain etc. ODIYAN is produced by Antony Perumbavoor and directed by VA Shrikumar Menon. M. Jayachandran composed the songs and ‘Vikram Vedha’ fame Sam CS handles the background score. Another major highlight of the movie is Peter Hein who handles the action choreography.
