Another home run from the eclectic masterminds who brought you a farting corpse played by Daniel Radcliffe.

Dan Kwan and Daniel Scheinert (collectively known as Daniels) first came to recognition when they debuted Swiss Army Man to the world back in 2016. As absurd as it sounds, their film about a farting corpse (played by Harry Potter himself no less!) gained critical acclaim.

Now, the duo is back with yet another wild and ambitious sensation that is equal parts funny, action-packed, witty, and heartwarming. Real genius stuff.

At its core, the film is essentially about an exhausted Chinese American woman who can't seem to finish her taxes, but what we get is so much more. To call Everything Everywhere All At Once a perfect film would be an understatement. With a clever screenplay about the multiverse that could put superhero films to shame, it puts to work almost every genre virtually available imaginatively, unironically, and without missing a beat.

The sci-fi action-comedy adventure written and directed by the Daniels features an amazing ensemble consisting of Michelle Yeoh, Ke Huy Quan, Stephanie Hsu, Jenny Slate, Harry Shu Jr., James Hong, and Jamie Lee Curtis. Each and every one of them delivers multifaceted performances to match the Daniels’ cosmic concept, proving that they’re worthy of being more than typecast actors in the industry.

Our raving review is not without singing high praises for the one and only Michelle Yeoh who is the heart, body, and soul of the film. At 59 years old, Yeoh proves that age is no barrier to her kicking ass on screen in what might be her best performance to date.

It may be too soon to commit to this considering Marvel’s upcoming slate of films but dare we say, Everything Everywhere All At Once is the best film of the year to utilise a multiverse plot. Don’t fight us. Just go see it to believe it.
