Synopsis

Ann was beaten by her mother since childhood, dropped out of elementary school in her third year, and was forced into prostitution by her mother in her mid-teens. One day, Ann is interrogated by the police on a charge of using drug and meets Tatara, a detective. Unlike others, he does not ask her about drugs at all. He urges Ann to join ""Salvage Tokyo,"" a drug rehabilitation group he heads, saying, ""Come here if you want to quit drugs.” Ann rejects this, but she gradually opens her heart to him, who helps her to find a job and study, without any reward, and she gradually regains a normal social life. Escaping from her mother's home, where she has been tied down, Ann begins to live in a shelter apartment. Thanks to Tatara, Anne finds a little joy in life. However, a rumor of a certain scandal swirls around Tatara that he is making Salvage Tokyo his personal property and having sexual relations with the women who participate in. Kirino, the journalist, was following this but when he saw Tatara's earnest attempt to save Ann, he wondered if it was really the right thing to do. Then, the news that shook their fate came on TV...
