Disney releases single "Waiting On A Wish" ahead of "Snow White" premiere

Snow White has a new song to sing!
"Waiting On A Wish" is an anthemic "I Want" song sung by Rachel Zegler who plays the titular princess in the upcoming live-action Disney's Snow White. It is written by EGOT-winning duo Pasek & Paul (Dear Evan Hansen, La La Land, The Greatest Showman). The duo had also previously written the power ballad "Speechless" for Disney's live-action Aladdin (2019), performed by Naomi Scott who starred as Princess Jasmine.
In the song, Snow White sings of her dilemma of feeling trapped and stuck and hoping for change. It showcases Zegler's incredible singing abilities and already proving her to be one of the best vocalists of all live-action princesses thus far.

Zegler also performed the song live alongside Japanese actress Sakura Kiryu during the promotional tour of Disney's Snow White in Tokyo:
Disney's Snow White is a live-action reimagining of Walt Disney Productions' 1937 animated film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, which itself is based on the 1812 fairy tale "Snow White" by the Brothers Grimm. It is directed by Marc Webb (500 Days of Summer, The Amazing Spider-Man) and also stars Gal Gadot and Andrew Burnap.
